Skeptical Optimist Intervention Needed
I cook and bake a lot and I've never been able to make what I would consider a good homemade pie crust
or pastry dough. I use the best ingredients, and follow all the directions to cut the butter in, chill the dough, cool my fingers with ice water, etc. But it always ends up in a sticky unworkable dough that is impossible to roll out evenly and ends up cracking and shrinking and looking terrible.
