ARod has to know, looking at analytics, that Retzlaff is completing about 50%, give or take a little, of his deep passes. So there is a pretty good chance that the deep pass he threw doesn't complete. So why in the world do we go right to a run between the tackles play, again another play we don't do well at the entire season, right after that? One of the biggest reasons we are struggling on 3rd down and even in Redzone production is due to the fact that we are faced with a 3rd and long situation far too many times. ARod puts together too many low risk low reward plays back to back and then is forced into a high risk high reward play right after that.
And the 4th down play call by Kalani was just dumb... again another high risk high reward situation that was forced.
