You know who else is slow to fire coaches? The Pittsburgh Steelers. They’ve
had a total of three head coaches in the last 55 years (and counting). They’ve ridden out the ups and downs and generally done better than average. They’re among the leaders in Super Bowl victories.

It’s a model that has shown dividends.

Contrast that with Nebraska over the last 20 years. They’re a bit of a dumpster fire for a team with the history and resources they have. Their fans have demanded coaching changes and it has killed them.

Also look at the Dallas Cowboys after Jimmy Johnson. Holy coaching carousel, Batman! And what good does it do them?
