I can totally understand the dislike / hate on his son Dallin Leavitt because that guy seems like the epitome of the BYU hating Utah State fan.

If CBers had actually watched the interview of Jared Leavitt he talks about his time at BYU, being coached by LaVell Edwards, etc. which was all positive. He also talked about BYU recruiting Sam Leavitt and how all that went down and he came across as very understanding and actually complimentary towards BYU.

It basically boiled down to "Sam was being recruited but BYU had another QB that committed to BYU so there was no longer a scholarship available for Sam." It didn't seem like father Leavitt matches the characterization of what some CBers want us to believe.

Maybe there's a lot more history regarding father Leavitt that I'm unaware of but.. based upon this most recent video interview he doesn't seem to be anywhere near the BYU hater that his son Dallin is and that some CBers want to lump him in with.

I have no relation to the Leavitt's I just think it's dumb to trash a former BYU player because their son is doing stupid things.
