1. In the first half, there did not appear to be any sense of urgency from the team. Lackluster, bad body language, etc. Better after half time.
2. Skattebo is the real deal. He was hit early and often but continued to run people over. All. Game. Long. Guys were bouncing off of him. He actually reminded me a bit of T. Allgeier.
3. Jake missed a ton of open guys. He was often rushed, even when there were only 3-4 guys coming from the D-line.
4. The short across the middle stuff was open all day but BYU didn't seem to do much there until the second half. Not sure why because it was open.
5. The onside kick was an absolute back breaker. You could see a lot of slumped shoulders from guys. It seemed like the game was over.
6. BYU did almost enough to win, but didn't play clean enough to finish it. Much like last week, the game was there for the taking but BYU just couldn't do it.
7. Earlier in the season, the lucky/crazy/toss-up plays seemed to go BYU's way. The last few weeks seem a bit like karma, grabbing back the football momentum from BYU.
8. Losing SUCKS.
