One thing that bugs me is that many of those people aren’t “shelling out their own money”. They are using tax law to write it off as a business expense. So they don’t care if tickets are hundreds to thousands of dollars….. they aren’t paying it really.

Change tax law around “entertainment “ business expenses and that will take some of the money out of the system that is distorting the system
