their jobs just kind of suck. They have sucky bosses and they're also front-line with the general public which sucks in almost every industry.

Although I get what you're saying most of the time you still really can't predict how an OR schedule goes, especially when you need a 1-3 hour preop window.

I have now sided with Cougarboard with ridiculous wait times in many offices... but even that is just the result of outside forces in play (mostly the continued impact of lower reimbursement forcing increased volume as the only means to protect your salary).

But when it comes to OR/procedure labs, just realize your day is already ruined and it's best to be patient and hope you're still alive tomorrow.
