It is a very reasonable assumption.
She is from the same town in Mali that Fous is from, they have the same name, and she ended up at BYU from thousands of miles away. There has never been a BYU woman player from Mali. Now there is and she has the same name as a current player. If you can't see why someone would make an assumption that she is related to Fous, that's on you, not them.
It might be there is no relation, but it is a reasonable assumption no matter what.

The "town" aka Mali's capital city. Twice as populated as the entire state of Utah. Keita's from there too.
