First impressions:
Navy looked elite. Everyone looked like they were in some massive weight training program. And their were a lot of them. Later one of our players said they had 70 guys in the program?
BYU. Looked like some local pickup club team. We had some athletic strong looking guys but not like Navy's and there wasn't as many of them.
The play:
Byu took it to them for the first 15 minutes or so. Were up 14-0. But then you could tell the conditioning mattered. They scored twice to tie it, the We had a guy get a yellow card and they scored twice more. Which would prove the difference.
Despite the conditioning, and the numbers advantage, we held our own. and in the end were really pushing to catch up.
BYU had more heart, and for the most part executed their strategy better.
If BYU wants more favorable press, some improved inroads to polynesian areas and such. Make Rugby a scholarship sport and chase the championships.
