The Big 12 contenders:

- Colorado lost to Nebraska, guys. Nebraska is 2-5 in the Big Ten.

- Iowa State beat Iowa by 1 point. Iowa is 4-3 in the Big Ten...and only one of those losses is to a Big Ten contender. Th others are to Michigan State (2-5 in the Big Ten) and UCLA (3-5 in the Big Ten).

- Arizona State beat Mississippi State by 7 points at home. MSU is 0-6 in the SEC. ASU also beat Texas State by 3 points on the road. Texas State is a 6-4 Sun Belt team.

- BYU easily has the B12's best OOC win over #13 SMU on the road. But, we struggled and barely survived against the last two teams in the B12 standings and just lost to 4-6 Kansas.

I do think the B12 suffers a bit from the Kansas State-Arizona and Utah-Baylor "OOC" games. Those games *guaranteed* the conference two additional losses on the overall records AND caused the Big 12 to miss out on the opportunity for up to FOUR more OOC P5 wins.
