You can go ahead and think ARod doesn't know what he's doing and calling the wrong plays, but it really does come down to execution. And it starts with the line. BYU had a key injury at the Utah game and got back Pay last game, but who knows if he is 100%?
If you rewatch the key plays where BYU could have won the game, a defender gets through unblocked and hurries the throw. Or a missed block on the running plays. Too many missed assignments that come down to one on one play.
In my opinion, this is why the offense has had a hard time in the red zone the last few games more so than play calling.
