O Gaucho All-American
I was proud as a principal when I cut all fundraisers except for one. The PTA
sponsored a family picnic night where the whole community came to the school, we had some food trucks, and they gave the PTA a cut of their sales. We'd have a group or two perform but mostly was just a come get to know your neighbors and the families of your kids' friends. The PTA would use the money to buy a school t-shirt for every kid in the school, which I thought was great.

Funny thing is the candy bar sales guy would still bring me samples every year but we never used him. It was unbelievable how many emails I would get from companies wanting to turn our kids into salesmen. We had plenty of money in our budget from the school district for what we wanted to do. No need to fundraise.
