two wives have loved dogs. My current HCBW didn't grow up in a dog family but has since evolved into the dog momma who loves her dogs a lot.

Dogs are great, in many instances easier than children, as they simply want your presence, some treats, a walk and to sleep.

Cats are even easier but frequently provide less companionship.
