And I'd argue that the conference tourney 5-5 record should have an astricks.
Because of the way the WCC tournament was set up, Pope played a lot of bad teams first, inflatting the record.
He never beat SMC or the zags in the WCC tournament and lost to USF once.
That being said, post season isn't everything. He's a great recruiter and a good regular season head coach.
