They know they are overmatched and hoping that it comes down to 1 to 2 critical drives and the ball bounces your way. I didn't walk away from that game thinking Kansas did any one thing particularly well which made this part even more frustrating. It's great to wear a teams defense down but when you play so slow it almost doesn't matter. It also didn't make sense philiosophically if you were trying to limit Kansas' O because Kansas' O was largely held in check after the first drive of the game
