The loss on Saturday stung. Even the traffic getting out of the stadium was way worse. Sunday was a good day for reflection and realignment. This morning (Monday) we got to talk to my son who is currently serving a mission here in the states. He brushes up against news about what is happening in current events, but it is more like the 10,000 foot view. He was oblivious to BYU losing and totally focused on his mission. It was a great opportunity to remember that the world is still turning after a tough loss on Saturday night.
Even if the season ended today, we out performed expectations, have had some remarkable, less than 1% chance wins, beat our rivals in their home stadium during the final seconds, and had a magical ride. AND still, there is still great football left to play. I am loving the season, and am so grateful for the bigger things that happen concurrently, even during a tough week. We have it pretty good. Here's hoping for some more magical games to end the season.
