The offense hasn’t exactly dominated in any games this year like the defense. Take away the points off turnovers and this becomes a lot more conspicuous. 13 vs Kansas, 15 vs SMU, and 22 vs Utah doesn’t cut it.
The season third down conversion rate is only 32%. Our opponents average a 42% conversion rate against us.
The tight ends have been amazing for BYU over the years. Their production over the past several years has been mediocre. Keanu Hill has just over 100 yards on the season. There are far too many plays run for tight ends near the line of scrimmage. Get them down the field where they do their real damage!
As you mention, play calling is nothing to write home about. We strangely start to get fancy in the red zone. The trick plays are often great but otherwise stick to what has been working. We must turn the page if we want to win next week.
