should be anything but professional, and respectful, as he has been. But, Kalani needs to be a little more neutral in his KW narrative and exchanges.
It's stuff like this that make BYU fans love to see Utah ground in to the dust, and as Dennis Pitta said in an interview this week - see their fans hopes completely crushed (or something like that).
Not that we need their adoration, praise, or validation. We've earned that both in FBALL and BBALL in the B12, and throughout BYU's history. But, just some respect for a season well played, when we were picked to finish 13 /16 teams in the B12.
The best years of the BYU / Utah rivalry were during the Lavell / McBride doink game and 34-31 years. Even in the 34-31 losses, there was still fierce competition, and wins back and forth those few years after the 10 year Utah win drought. But, there was a lot of fun banter and mutual respect, as well as being happy when either team represented Utah well, and beat teams outside the state / conference.
Since KW decided Utah was "way above" BYU, the rivalry has been a lot more disrespectful and vitriolic, and KW has shown his true colors. He's a sad human, IMO. Not big enough to give BYU at least some credit. Perhaps he's still bitter about the recent game, but at least give BYU some credit for a season well played. Hope Utah gets pummeled by "their true rival" Colorado, like Pitta, that they get their Karma. I use to be pleased when Utah beat teams outside the conference, like during the Alex Jenson years. But Max Hall was right...Utah does actually suck, at least now they do, with KW at the helm.
