Such a silly take. I’m a Mormon from CA who went to Berkeley undergrad and MIT for my MBA. This “we’ll accept you but you’re second class” attitude is ridiculous for a fanbase. We want everyone in the tent.

The reality is BYU is seen as good but not great nationally and nobody outside LDS circles knows or cares about the difference among the schools.

Not having any academically elite schools in the region leads some to inflate how the rest of the country sees the BYU academic brand. We should do whatever we easily can to draw more fans.
