BYU will probably get to the CCG regardless of whether Colorado beats utah. And
it helps BYU to play the strongest possible opponent (Colorado is a strong candidate) in the CCG, so they have a chance at an at-large bid (and better seed) even with a loss.
Generally, BYU benefits if the Big 12 teams it faces do well (SOS), and if the top teams in the conference keep winning (conference reputation).
