We have 3 more games against good teams. And BYU might be banged up and/or have an emotional letdown after last Saturday.

That said, I hear you—Colorado would be a tough opponent and them losing might give BYU a more favorable match up if they do make the CCG. On the other hand the UofU losing might be the straw that breaks the camel’s back for recruits deciding between the Y and UofU.

Personally I agree with wanting BYU’s strength of schedule to be maximized.

That aside my preferred scenario is BYU winning out, beating Colorado in a close enough win in the CCG that the popular Buffs still make the playoffs (making two B12 teams), with BYU earning a first round bye.
