They obviously were able to focus on Utah
I do not think they lose focus this week, playing at home against a clicking Kansas where BYU is a nominal favorite. They seem to focus well when being disrespected by the betting line.
If they get by Kansas, they should be able to focus on a tough road team who is in, or just outside of, the top 25. BYU would probably be playing the underdog or nominal favorite role again in this scenario.
Then with Houston at home to finish the season, they can let it all hang out with no other definitive opponents to look past towards.
Then a CCG, and thereafter potential playoff game(s). I think BYU is avoiding the trap game scenarios. They just have to not have any lapses and flub games that are all very winnable.
