I have found most males like it, some females do, but many females don't.
Most women like mystery shows for the actual mystery and "who did it?" problem solving. They binge things like NCIS, Castle, Bones, etc. Men want some comedy or something "extra" in addition to the mystery, and that's why they like Psych. I also like Castle because of the overarching relationships being developed across the episodes. My wife and I compromise and watch that one.
