Few will remember, because it's been a long time ago..BYU vs. New Mexico 1973

but I'm old and remember as a student going to that snowy, brutally cold game. The highlight, besides winning the game 56-21, was Jay Miller had 22 catches for 263 yards and 3 touchdowns. The number of catches for one game still stands as a BYU record. Stated attendance was 11,412, so we weren't quite in the big-league range yet--it was Lavell's 2nd season as head coach.
