But if the surf's up, you'll be out of luck. Hanalei Bay actually isn't bad (finding a parking spot to get to the public access is almost impossible, though). Hideaways beach is one of my favorites, but again parking is hard to come by so you have to be there at the crack of dawn or get lucky to get a spot.
