BYU, who WILL beat Kansas, wants Indiana to beat Ohio State.
Not many losses likely for teams ahead of us in the CFP rankings (never know of course), but one that could happen is Indiana beating Ohio State, assuming that win margin is a good predictor of future success. Will be interesting to see if Indiana really is as good as the Big 10 hopes it is.

The problem with Indiana losing is that a one-loss Hoosier team probably stays in the top 10. Because (based on the CFP's infallible logic) a one-loss team when the loss is against a B1G/SEC opponent is still better than almost any P2 team (this year, only BYU is the exception).

So root for Indiana to beat Ohio State, because there is no way they will stay ranked ahead of BYU with two losses. That could get BYU into the top 5, where getting a 4-seed or higher won't sound like fraud in the playoff.

Of course, if BYU has just been getting lucky all year, then Kansas better win this weekend to pop the bubble now. Would MUCH rather it happen now than in the playoffs if BYU is really just a lucky pretender.

But I don't believe BYU is crazy lucky. I think BYU's coaching staff is crazy good at what they do (as is Curt Cignetti's crew). Would love to see a game between the two new data squads.

I expect BYU to beat Kansas by two scores because it is at home, and Kansas' defense is nowhere near as good as Utah's.
