This is correct. There is no “Unfair Acts” penalty. The penalty is still called
as “Unsportsmanlike Conduct.” That is what the referee would announce. Not “unfair act.”
So the interpretation that because he called “unsportsmanlike conduct” the TD would stand and there is no remedy is 100% false.
It is there in black and white.
I would love someone to tweet Terry MaC and get his take. He’s been all over this. I’m guessing he would say “yeah…of course the TD would come back. Anything else would be illogical.”
