Unfortunately with the new rules you can't do that. Walk-on/partial scholarship
types are all gone. It's full ride or no roster spot.
I bet BYU will have to cut about 8-10 players. Seems like that is the number most D1 programs are talking about.
Extra tricky situation for BYU because of the mission uncertainty I assume.. Plus they definitely benefited from kids taking less scholarship $ to just to play at BYU.
