Last year they slipped to 8-5 (5-4). Even if the Pac 12 still existed, they
would probably still have a losing conference record this season.
I think that they had already peaked and the fall would have continued regardless.
The difference is that their main draw of being in the Pac 12 is gone. Recruiting is going to be much harder now and they will not rebound any time soon.
