Icecat Injuries and insurance claims
Thought experiment.
An estimated 140 million people are born worldwide very year. That means there are some 730 million people on the planet who have never been alive to see a Utah Holy War victory. Some of these people are old enough to have full time jobs working for companies like Nike and Apple at this point.

By the time of the game next year, the earth will likely be populated with some 870 million souls who have not lived on a planet on which Utah has won a football game against BYU during their lifetime. Folks, that’s about 10% of the entire population of the earth.

Now some of you might be thinking, that’s all well and good, but what about the Cold War game? Ok, happy to indulge you. There are maybe two and a half million people who have been born since the start of the BYU-Utah Cold War. None of those people have ever seen an Utah victory. Some of them are a full week old at this point!
