Bama was as good as they were for so long because of both Saban and lack of NIL for most teams. NIL has been a good way to level the playing field. I have a feeling that if most of the SEC teams went to play a Big12 team on the road, the records would end up being closer to .500 than they would say a .800 winning percentage. Sure the SEC is good, but Texas, who came from the Big12, will likely win the SEC in year 1. Oregon, who came from a seriously crappy Pac12, is likely going to win the B1G in year 1. These conferences aren't the behemoths that they have led everyone to believe. They are good, and they have some very good teams, but so do other conferences, including some of the the G6 conferences. I also believe that the B1G, like in March Madness most years, are going to have their collective backsides handed to them in the playoffs as well.
