plain better than everyone and anyone expected. Sometimes "lucky bounces" only end up lucky because you did something to put yourself in a position to capitalize or force the situation to begin with.

Watching the college football world hope for our "luck" to run out each week only to see them disappointed once more has been a nice cherry on top of the season so far.
