Wasn’t hearing a hard hat. I was more concerned with stopping the bleeding, than a TBI.
2 of my employees were installing a metal track 16 ft wide 17 ft up in the air. They thought it was secure so they let go. It fell and hit me in the head. Blood everywhere. I told them to stop fighting over whose fault it was and just finished up the install while I go to the hospital and get stitches. They continue to whine about how they couldn’t finish it without me so I duct taped a towel to my head and worked another hour and a half till we finished.
I went to a buddies office who is a surgeon and had him stitch me up. I couldn’t get out of bed the next day because I was so nauseous. I stupidly did not even realize that I had a concussion. It took another year to diagnose my traumatic brain injury.
