Intervention Needed
It’s similar to running yards and passing stats during conversion attempts.
They don’t get recorded to the main stats line.
The NCAA does have them recorded in a separate (but usually not presented in the box score, other than PAT attempts) bucket of stats.

Correct. It was ruled a fumble recovered by BYU. Arod mentioned it on coordinator’s corner.
