2nd down fake pitch to LJ, Jake is looking down the left sideline. Not sure what was going on there. We had a TE on a wheel route, and Lassiter in the same area. Chase is WIDE open in the middle of the field but Jake never looked at him. He tries to go back to LJ, who would have definitely picked up the first down, but Keim got beat and the DE got a hand on Jake while he was throwing to force a bad pass.
3rd down for some reason it takes forever to get a play in. Jake isn't calling the play until 10 seconds are left on the clock, and we have the call a TO with Utah subbing taking the play clock all the way down.
After the time out they hand the ball off to LJ, which exactly what I'd think most of CB would want to see with 1 yard to gain. Left guard gets owned by a swim move, and LJ is hit 4 yards deep in the backfield. He does well just to get back to the LOS.
4th down converts easily if Lassiter blocks his man instead of Chase's. Not sure what he is coached to do. He might think his man will go with him and he can occupy two defenders. Might work like that in other situations but on 4th and 1 I would say he should just take his guy and you plan for Chase to win with speed.
