A few things that come to mind in the past are the sign stealing and simulating the snap. On Saturday we saw the Utah defense waiting as long as possible to substitute. You had Ute defenders laying on top of BYU guys after plays ended, just trying to eat into the play clock. I have little doubt that the Ute defense was told to not let anyone get behind them on 4th and 10, even if they had to hold, assuming there was no way the officials throw a flag in that situation.
It's a boring brand of football. Eat as much clock as you can on offense, get handsy on defense knowing the officials won't throw flags on every play. Force the opposing offense to burn timeouts while slowly substituting.
The got away with this crap with the Pac 12 officials, but glad the Big XII officials are pushing back.
