There have been several updates from On3 in the last 11 days - wanted to recap the different pieces and the timelines laid out. As an additional reminder, the EARLY SIGNING PERIOD BEGINS THIS WEDNESDAY Nov 13th and goes through Nov 20th.
ALSO NOTE, that in his latest (Nov 7th report), Jamie Shaw from On3 added a line that I obviously don't love: "however, I am told that the Cougars are not as far ahead as I previously thought."
Nov 1: Jamie Shaw wrote that the AJ decision could come in 7-14 days (so in theory sometime this week?). Jamie ALSO noted that high-level recruitments have been very fluid down the stretch this cycle. The schools involved here ideally would like for Dybantsa to sign during the early period. NO MENTION FROM On3 OF WHO WAS IN THE LEAD with this article.
Nov 6: Joe Tipton writes "With Dybantsa possibly nearing a decision, my sources still say BYU is the frontrunner" and puts us at 40% with Kansas State as biggest threat.
Nov 7: Jamie Shaw writes: "A source recently told me they would not be surprised if a decision came before – or during – the early signing period. Based on what I am hearing from sources, they still are telling me they think BYU will be the choice." BUT THEN JAMIE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING CAVEAT - "however, I am told that the Cougars are not as far ahead as I previously thought."
What's odd about the Nov 7th report is that he KEEPS the 40% confidence level which doesn't make a lot of sense to me...
