About the officials for years. And while there is some basis to that (Cougarboard literally complains non-stop about everything, and especially the officials in whatever game BYU is currently playing), we got screwed WAY harder by the refs in recent years past against Utah. 2010 comes to mind (The knee was down). 2016 comes to mind (wildly inconsistent targeting calls). I don't complain about the refs often myself, but I absolutely believe those games were "stolen" from BYU.
Yesterdays hold they were complaining about, though? Mark Harlan is going to call the commissioner office, and they're gonna tell him that was a great call. Just like the commentators did.
There were a number of calls and non-calls on the night to complain about. Most of them went against BYU (Isaiah Glasker facemask leading to 7 points chief among them). But that hold was the correct call.
Given the games we've lost due to bad reffing over the years, some divine payback wouldn't bother me where we finally are on the good end of winning a game we shouldn't have due to the refs. This wasn't that, though. This definitely wasn't our best game, there's a lot we can improve on. But we absolutely played better than Utah for most of the game. There was nothing "stolen" about this one.
