I’ll let the “the game was stolen from us, I’m mad at the refs” thing slide. Intense rivalry game, lots of emotion, I get it.
But the “we were glad to be in the Big 12 but now I’m not” and “I’ll talk to the commissioner?” That’s the weakest thing I’ve ever seen from a grown man.
Your dogsh program was dead. You were stuck in the PAC 12 with Oregon State and Washington State. You were six months away from being in the same conference as Utah State. And the Big 12 threw you a lifeline.
Now, after losing 5 straight and being at the bottom of the Big 12, you lash out because of one call you think was bad? Are you serious? That’s the most bush league, immature reaction of all time.
“We were glad, but now we aren’t.” Leave. Put your money where your mouth is. You wish you were somewhere else? See ya. Newsflash: the B1G and SEC don’t want the corpse of whatever your peak was. But I’m sure you can have your pick of the PAC or Mountain West.
And on top of that, “I’m going to speak with the commissioner?” Ohhhhh noooooooo. Like, what’s he going to do? “Well Mark, you’re right. It was a bad call. We’re so sorry, you actually won that game.”
I almost feel bad for him (almost). What an embarrassment. I’ve said and done things I regret. But man, from here on out, I’ll just remind myself, “Hey, RealTaysomHill. At least you didn’t look like the biggest [literally any word you want, all of them fit] of all time.”
