Right on! I donated a kidney over a decade ago to my FIL and he was
up a popping right after--going from zero kidney function to one that was 30 years younger instantly.
I however, felt like I got hit by bus for 2 weeks afterwards.
Neat experience though. Welcome to the transplanthood

I hear you on the staples--mine were rough coming out each time, and they were only in about 4 days (I had C-sections).
