I would add that the offensive coordinator will probably switch some things up, such as blocking schemes and quarterback reads. Expect a trick player or two on offense and/or special teams. They will take a couple big shots in an attempt to get quick points.
It could work. They could pull off the plan and beat us. It’s not a stretch. Play them 10 times, and I expect multiple games would play out this way (in the OP plus my additions) or close to it.
It’s also not gonna be that easy to pull off. Our defense is good. We know they want to run the ball. We are sound at all three levels and have an excellent coordinator whose task will be to pressure, bait, traumatize, and/or confuse a true freshman quarterback, or former third stringer, making his first start.
Let it happen their place will make it more challenging. At LES, I would have few reservations.
I don’t expect this game to be particularly relaxing. But I like our chances more than those of Utah.
