You can drill a small hole just in front of the crack
then apply light pressure on the inside of the glass (Pushing out) to get the crack to grow into the small hole you drilled. This will stop the crack from growing.

It is possible to then fill the crack with resin, (the hole you drilled too) to try and help the crack from growing anywhere else. it will also make it less visible.....but the crack will always still be there, and the safety rating of your windshield depends on you not having any cracks. That is why most insurances pay for windshields.
