and the symbolism of Benetiz as a Christ figure was a little over the top. He comes unknow from the desert, no one knows about him except for the father.....it was a little much.

I mean how crazy is it that select a pope that no one in the room even knew about when the whole thing started. It tried so hard to be a realistic movie but the main plot line just flipped you and then it was just a completely unrealistic movie.

Very bizarre because I completely loved everything about it. The acting was top notch. Fiennes was amazing.
