before last season and became mediocre last year. I've seen him have a couple of moments and for sure a streaky guy, but a sub 40% career guy is gonna have to have a Jake Retzlaff improvement season to season to make a comment like that. His 3 game is much better than his 2 game as well so I'm not sure where the dynamic scorer thing comes from. A guy that shoots 40% inside the arc for his career really wouldn't define him as anything other than a below average shooter/average 3 point shooter to this point in his career.
If you only picked his 5 best games, the NIT and Alcorn State you could maybe say that, but he isn't consistent game to game at all. Unfortunately being in a family of Utah fans I've seen way more Utah basketball than most Utah fans over his 3 seasons. He was usually the 3rd-5th guy last season and is gonna be asked to carry a bigger load this season so way more shots, but had a ton of really bad games last season.
