The only way to change it is to win. people favor the Big Ten and the SEC, because they have traditionally been the best conferences, and the top end of their conference is usually wins national titles. if we want to be thought of in the same light, the big 12 team or teams that gets to the playoff needs to win. if BYU gets the four seed and gets blown out by Ohio state, everyone’s going to say the same thing next year… big 12 teams will get the same disrespect. any big 12 team that makes the playoff will have a big responsibility, at least until that perception can be changed.
