Wife and 6yo son are supposed to board a plane in a few hrs from PVU to SNA to spend the day at Disney. I gave them this day trip as a Mother’s Day/Birthday gift to the two of them way back in May. They’ve been looking forward to this for weeks.

Well, watching the election tonight my wife has come down with a bad stomach bug. Like, bad. Needs to rest, can’t go. It’s too late for her, but I can still grab a seat on the plane and transfer her unused Disney ticket to me at the gate. She needs me here she says, but I’m thinking she just needs rest, not much I can do really. My 2 older boys (11 & 14) can stay home and tend to her and take care of our 3yo while I take 6yo on the day trip he’s been waiting for, for months.

Or we don’t go, I lose all the money I paid, and the 6yo loses out. Hate to say it but I feel like pinch hitting here is the least worst option.
