Strength of Schedule, non-FBS teams played... (SOR = Strength of Record). Your data points are nice, but far from complete. Especially important is Strength of Schedule, games against non-FBS teams and wins over teams with losing records (somewhat overlapping). These points are important, because the more above average teams you play, the more likely you are to have losses. Good teams occasionally lose to bad teams, but it is quite rare. BYU has a large number of bad teams on the schedule (contrary to preseason expectation). I think BYU should stop scheduling non-FBS games. If you need a gimme, play some MWC, PAC, AAC... bottom dweller... Makes the resume look bad. If you are in the SEC and have that name there to add shine to your resume, schedule whoever you want. BYU is not that team.
