Even with the 6,000 hours you had to change the bulb once or twice a year. After about 6,000 hours it just fries itself. Unfortunately, that only took 4 years to burn it up, but my son played Xbox on it pretty constantly.

That being said, you can get a newer laser projectors for around $4k, and you should be able to make it last for a long time with 20,000 hours of run time. Even with my sons constant video gaming and my other kids video binging it would have lasted 20 years had we gone that route, but they were very new tech four years ago.

Right now I’m looking at the Epson Home Cinema LS11000 4K PRO-UHD Laser Projector. I have a 110” movie screen, and miss my projector.
