I haven't had French onion soup enough to know what it "should" taste like.
But heated up, the drippings weren't a gravy, it was the consistency of the soup I ate on Friday, and had good strong flavor.
Of course, after the fact it all makes sense and I feel like an idiot, and super bloated and gross. But it DID taste good.
I guess I don't have the discerning pallet of better men.
