also a dual threat - UCF's new apparent star, Dylan Rizk. Pretty sure he's Jewish also, like Retzlaff, and what an amazing start for the guy. I wonder there's ever been a better start for a former freshman 3rd stringer, who was basically a benchwarmer. In essentially 5 quarters of play, since being thrown / thrust in to play against a ball-hawking, top tier BYU defense, the guy has done this, in his first 10 drives as a college QB:
- 10 drives with 10 TD's (helps to have RJ Harvey sharing your backfield) - with no INT's, no punts, and no FG's - that 100% red zone %
- 70 pts = 14 pts per quarter
- 26/35 passing = 74.3% passing, for a whopping 11.3 yards per attempt! That's better than Jaxson Dart at Ole Miss!
- 4 TD's with 0 Int's
- 13 carries for 86 yards = 6.6 ypc - that's equal to Amy's QB, Byrson Daily, and better than RB's Tahj Brooks (TTU), and DJ Giddens (KSU)
- AND, 44 1st downs gained, 6/11 on 3rd down, 3/3 on 4th downs, 1/1 2 pt conversion vs BYU, and one converted 50 yrd HAIL MARY!
Hard to think of a better start to a college career than this freshman QB has had. Really, it's astounding!
Jake may just have some competition as the most talked about "Jewish" QB in the NCAA next year if Rizk keeps this up.
B12 better take note - this guy looks to be a gamer!
